Linda Sigismondi
Mountain Dulcimer Player and Songwriter
Linda Sigismondi is a mountain dulcimer player and folksinger from Gallipolis, Ohio. Her music includes traditional Appalachian songs, traditional and contemporary folk music, and original compositions that feature environmental themes. Linda has played for many years at Fort New Salem, West Virginia, for the Harvest and Christmas Festivals. She organizes the music and workshops for the Salem Dulcimer Festival at the Depot (formerly Fort New Salem Dulcimer Festival) each August. Linda has also taught workshops and performed at many folk music festivals in Ohio, West Virginia, and New York. Linda is the leader of the Banks of the Ohio Dulcimer Club in Gallipolis, Ohio. Linda has written several books of mountain dulcimer tab and has several recordings for sale.
All books include standard music notation, guitar chords and mountain dulcimer tablature mostly in DAD tuning. Sample pages and table of contents are available.

The Canal CD is intended for entertainment. Vocals of all verses are included for each song. Instrumentation includes dulcimer, guitar, autoharp, recorder and other instruments. The canal CD can also be used to help learn the songs in the Songs from Canal Days tablature book.
The Companion CD's are intended for mountain dulcimer instruction. Each song is played 2-3 times on the mountain dulcimer as arranged in the tablature books. Vocals are included on some but not all verses.
